FAQS

  • What material can I choose?
    You will be provided sterling silver (925) in filigree/any metalwork workshops like ring making workshop, and fine silver (999) for enamel workshop. We also provide copper/brass to short-course students for training purposes. If you are attending a workshop and would like to use copper/brass as your mean material, please contact us.
  • Are materials and tools provided?
    Yes. All materials and tools will be provided by the workshop organizers (Unless you are a destroyer!). The participants who are attending the wax carving workshop/course need to take care of their own casting charge if they want their items to be cast. Our staff will give you suggestions on this. There will also be add-on items to purchase such as larger size enamel blanks (£20-£130), stone setting service, chains, polishing service, and accessories if you need any.
  • Can I bring my own design ideas?
    FOR SURE. We love helping realise ideas! If your favor is to simply change a pendent model into an earring, add engraving/stamps/size changing/chains/stone, please book the workshop nearest to your idea and attend directly. We will sort those out during the appointment. If you are not sure, please drop us an email with a short description of your idea with inspirational images/sketches. We will get back to you with a quote within 24 hours. If you need to consult us in person, please book via the consultation link and bring everything you have!
  • How long is the workshop / short course?
    workshops: 2 hours for Chanhua workshop, 3 hours for the other workshops. short courses: 10 times attendance in total, 3-6 hours each attendance (varies from different subjects).
  • How can I cancel/reschedule my appointment?
    If, for any reason, you are unable to attend the appointment, we kindly request that you inform us at least 48 hours in advance, as we may have a waiting list of eager participants. 50% of the fee will be returned to your account. We would be unable to process the refund if cancelled within 48 hours.
  • Can I come outside of the booking time slots?

  • Do I get my own creation right after the workshop?
    Yes. Except wax carving course, you will get your outcome cast and finalised within 10working days.
  • Is the workshop suitable for children?
    Yes, the workshop is suitable for children. All enamel powders we use are lead-free. However, children under 16 years old must attend with an adult.
  • Can I bring my dog?
    Yes, friendly dogs are welcome! We would be thrilled to meet them. You might even meet Jas, our furry friend!
  • Is it dangerous?
    No, it's not dangerous. Our staff will provide a full induction for the space, tools, and possible hazards. Any work involving heat or electrical machines will be checked and handled by the instructor. While we prioritize safety, you will also be responsible for your own well-being. Here are some tips for you: Please note that the activity includes filing, which might cause scratches on your nails. We recommend not attending right after getting manicures or nail polish. Craft workshops can involve hands-on activities with materials like powder, paint, files, and sandpaper. It may get messy at times, so please do not bring food to the workshop. Please wear appropriate clothes and shoes. We will also provide aprons and masks if needed. Can I host a private jewellery-making event? Yes, you can. Please contact us with more details. We have taken part in university club activities, community events, festivals, bachelor parties, and team-building parties. We appreciate the sharing of creative vibes in these events.
  • Can I buy the workshop sample directly without attending in person?
    Yes, you can. Please DM us via email/Instagram with a photo of the product you saw, and we will arrange it for you. However, we still recommend everyone to experience the process of making to value the beauty of jewellery and traditional techniques.
  • How to take care of my jewels? Can I wear them in the shower?
    Yes, you can wear your jewellery in the shower. Silver and enamel do not melt or break in water. However, silver and stones might become cloudy if exposed to a humid environment or not worn for extended periods. To remove the cloudiness, soak the jewellery in warm water with a mild soap solution. You can also use toothpaste for more efficient cleaning. After cleaning, rinse and pat dry with a clean cloth.
